AIR TRANSPORT MANAGEMENT MASTER PROGRAM

A UNIQUE PROGRAM

The master’s program is considered unique because of the content of the courses. Throughout the program, participants will take courses such as basics of airline management, aviation economy, finance, aviation law, marketing and regulatory compliance. In addition to these, the program offers elective modules such as airport planning and management and air transport contracts.

Aim of the program

Educating and guiding young people in order to contribute to their career path in MRO companies and airlines.

Focusing on Air Transport Management and Aviation Maintenance Management to become regional MBA leader in aviation.

Candidates for the Program:

  • Aviation sector employees
  • Engineering, management, social sciences or law department graduates

Preliminary application requirements:

  • A bachelor’s degree from any department.
  • For the thesis program, a minimum of 55 ALES score (equally-weighted) 
  • A minimum of 65 YDS/YÖKDİL score or 78 TOEFL – IBT score.
  • 2 proffesional/academic recommendation letters.

Curriculum:

Thesis

A prospective student in the MA Program in Air Transportation Management, takes at least 6 compulsory and 4 elective courses (30 credits in total). In addition, the students take a non-credit seminar course and complete a master thesis.

Normally, the students are expected to complete the program in three semesters. However, in certain situations, a student who completes the required courses in at most four semesters with a GPA of 3.00/4.00 and presented his or her thesis proposal successfully can be given extra time to complete the writing of the thesis.

Air Transportation Management Master of Arts Program with Thesis

  • 6 compulsory and 4 elective courses; 10 courses in total, and a seminar course; 30 credits in total (80 ECTS).
  • Thesis (60 AKTS).
  • Minimum 140 ECTS.

Non-Thesis

A student to take the Master degree in Air Transportation Management, should successfully take and pass 6 compulsory and 6 elective courses (36 credits in total). In addition, the students should complete a project paper on a specific theme about air transportation management.
