THE TARGET IS ACHIEVING EXCELLENCE IN SERVICE QUALITY WITH "SPECIALISING IN CABIN TRAINING PROGRAM"10/7/2016



"Specialising in Cabin Training Program" was designed with cooperation of Turkish Aviation Academy and Flight Training Center with the aim of improving service quality by strengthening the professional and personal competences of cabin crew members working under the roof of Turkish Airlines. The program began with ceremonies held at THY Yenibosna and Flight Training Center campuses on 3-4 October 2016.

The opening ceremonies were held with the participation of Turkish Airlines Chairman of the Board and the Executive Committee İlker AYCI, Turkish Airlines Deputy Chairman and CEO Assoc. Prof. Temel KOTİL, Chief Flight Operations Officer Levent YILMAZ, Director of Turkish Aviation Academy Assoc. Prof. Kemal YÜKSEK, Director of Flight Training Center Sedat ŞEKERCİ, Director of Cabin Services Nevin Çolak and other relevant managers.

The courses in the training program, which were designed and will be delivered by a team of expert instructors from Turkish Aviation Academy and Turkish Airlines Flight Training Center, will be conducted in a blended format with classroom and online components. The purpose of these trainings is to evaluate and enhance the behaviour patterns that will raise the quality of service provided for passengers to the maximum level, and also to make the cabin crew members more qualified in all areas by giving them up-to-date information.

Turkish Airlines Chairman of the Board and the Executive Committee İlker AYCI, who gave information about the training program and expressed his expectations from the cabin service, answered the questions of cabin crew after his speech. Turkish Airlines Deputy Chairman and CEO Assoc. Prof. Temel KOTİL stated in his speech: "In line with the 2023 vision, our target is to have 120 million passengers. Within the strategy that we have been creating for the past 10 years, we aim to fly to every point. In this regard, we will continue to grow as Turkish Airlines. We have become very successful and the role of the cabin in this success is great. In this respect, I wish you to make the best of this training program."

Director of Turkish Aviation Academy Assoc. Prof. Kemal YÜKSEK said in his speech: "The main objective of the training is to transfer the right information to the right audience. Our company will be at a very high level in 2023. So, this program fundamentally aims at such a goal. We wish you all success." Director of THY Cabin Services Nevin Çolak stated that the company strives to achieve the same standards on each flight and that all cabin crew will be periodically taking this training. After the opening ceremony, the program continued with Corporate Orientation Training. Cabin crew members will continuously receive the periodically scheduled trainings between 2016 and 2017.
