THE FIFTH MODULE OF THE AIR TRANSPORT MANAGEMENT MASTER PROGRAM HAS BEEN COMPLETED!2/16/2018



The fifth module; “Air Law, Regulations and Contracting in Air Transportation” of Air Transport Management Master Program, which has been carried out by Turkish Aviation Academy, Ibn Haldun University and Airbus to train future aviation leaders of our country, has been completed.

Expert instructor Andrew Charlton delivered the module, completed in our Academy between 10-15 February 2018. With this course, the students had the opportunity to study aviation law, legal arrangements, contracts and related issues in the aviation sector. In the course, first the international legal rules affecting the use of the airspace and its related principles were discussed; then the issues such as the obligations of air carriers and producer companies, competition, mergers and acquisitions, airline alliances, aircraft financing and consumer protection were covered. The main topics regarding legal contracts that are relevant to the aviation sector are; definitions of contract and its parties, definition of common law, offers, pricing of contracts, fighting techniques to emerging uncertainties, cancellation of contracts and failure to fulfill contracts, risk management in contract management, commercial laws and contracts in air transport, selection of contractors and subcontractors, business laws and trade unions.

This Master Program with a duration of 18- months, which is carried out in cooperation with Cranfield University and British Columbia University, is a unique opportunity for anyone planning a career in aviation. New modules will continue with the professors from the world's leading universities.
