The board, led by Turkish Aviation Academy President Assoc. Prof. Kemal Yüksek, held a meeting with Airbus Training Center authorities in Toulouse, France, on July 10-11, 2014.

Academy President Assoc. Prof. Kemal Yüksek, Training Technologies and Coordination Manager Dr. Tahsin Uğurlu and Technical Training Manager Murat Köse from Turkish Aviation Academy; Florian Cardi, Vice President of Mergers & Acquisitions, Corporate Development; Heino Hoermann, Senior Director of Business Development, Strategy & Future Programs; Remy Cadeau, Senior Director of Business Development & Cooperation, Training and Flight Operations; and Jean-Francois Gallegos, Training and Flight Operations Support, Training Solutions Deployment Manager from Airbus attended the meeting.

Academy President Assoc. Prof. Kemal Yüksek stated that “Turkish Airlines, with its new airport, geographical location and with the advantages of growing brand equity, has become a world brand leading the formation providing the aviation training needs of pioneering establishments of the industry” and emphasized that the mutual cooperation negotiations will continue.

Florian Cardi, Vice President of Mergers & Acquisitions, Corporate Development, expressed that Airbus will approach the subject proactively and that this meeting, in this sense, is of great importance.

After the meeting, the board visited the simulation training classes and obtained information on the trainings and programs used.

During the meeting, possible cooperation models were negotiated and the idea of a training center that provides technical trainings with the cooperation of Airbus and Turkish Airlines was evaluated. Throughout the meeting, pre-negotiations on various alternative models, including training partnership, were held.
