The cooperation negotiations which started last year in Toulouse, France, home base of Airbus between Turkish Airlines and Airbus continues. Both parties met up for the second time on September 17th, 2014 in Turkish Airlines Headquarters in order to detail the projects they will carry out jointly in training area.

The participants from Turkish Aviation Academy were Dr. Tahsin UĞURLU, the Manager of Education Technologies and Coordination, and Murat KÖSE, Technical Training Manager under the presidency of President of the Academy, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Kemal YÜKSEK.  Airbus Group was represented by Florian CARDI, Vice-President Mergers & Acquisitions, Heino HOERMANN, Senior Director – Business Development and Cooperation, Strategy and Investments and Remy CADEAU, Airbus Senior Director – Business Development and Collaboration, Training and Flight Operations in the meeting.

At the top of the agenda, there was the project to be carried out with collaboration of Airbus and Turkish Aviation Academy, and to meet the necessity of technical training in sector. Also, articles of good will agreement, and creating a joint working group towards carrying out the project were other items on the agenda.

In the meeting, alternative training models to be formed within the scope of work were talked over. Mr. CADEAU stated their determination about joint work on technical training area and emphasized that in this process they will also provide technical team and equipment, in addition to technical support. Both parties agreed that international standards would be taken as references in work processes.

The cooperation has a great importance since it enables to meet technical training need of global aviation sector effectively.
